A question I have which has NOT been discussed is this.
WHY the importance of the lawmakers that all these illegal immigrants be allowed to become US citizens? Why not just permanent residents? Why the “citizenship” issue. Many could care less if they are legal citizens.

Because if they were only permanent residents they wouldn’t be eligible to vote ?

WHY the importance of the lawmakers that all these illegal immigrants be allowed to become US citizens? My post immediately above might give a shot at this question.

As a child, GW had a Mexican nanny that he loved.
His family loved her too, and pulled strings to make her a citizen.
It really is that simple. We have to give amnesty to 20 million illegal aliens because GW gets misty-eyed, whenever someone sings, "Rock-a-Bye Baby" in Spanish.
