That was my reaction, too. Rather disturbing. Some Arabs can be fair-skinned, light-haired and light-eyed. I've seen quite a few Iraqis who are that way, as well as some other Middle Easterns.
Iraqis occasionally think I'm from Lebanon and my background is English-Irish-Scottish.
