Didn’t John-John hint at a run for the Senate in NY state in 2000?

John-John would have trounced the Hildebeast in the Senate election if her had run against her.

Given their history... what’s a person to think

He did, and reportedly was PO'ed when he heard HRC was manuvering for a run herself at the seat. JFK Jr. would probably not have run in 2000 anyway, due to his marital problems with Carolyn. But he may well have run for a Senate seat from New Jersey later on. Jackie owned a cottage on the NJ shore that he inherited and could have claimed as a residence.
