Getting on board with Fred... I like some of the other candidates, but I think this rise tells me that others are not all that excited about the current crop as well... Something has to stop the Guliani train that would really destroy the social politics of the Republican party...
I have been thinking that there may be a possibility of Bloomberg taking wind from Guiliani thus putting Hillary into office. I doubt Bloomberg would hurt a more socially conservative in Fred. The biggest problem being a Democrat elected to the Presidency. Not that there would be much difference between Guiliani and Hillary on the social side of things.

Thompson has made a fortune in a decades-long career as a Washington lobbyist. And just this month, as part of his role as the ultimate Washington insider, Thompson offered to host yet another fundraising event for Scooter Libby's legal defense fund. Thompson has been vocal in his support of Libby, saying that he would 'absolutely' pardon him. As he runs for president, he'll try his hardest to hide the truth from the American peopleFred has released his income tax records. Did their hero, Der Schlickmeister ever release his? Or his medical records?
"Hide the truth" about Scooter Libby? Fred has made no bones about his feelings that Scooter should be pardoned.
You bet the Dims are scared. Even my brother-in-law, a life-long Dem, likes Fred (and loathes The SheBeast).

This is actually good news: It means the DNC is taking Fred Thompson seriously. You don’t see the democrats tearing in to Duncan Hunter, Ron Paul or Mike Huckabee, do you? The DNC knows that Juan McCainez is on his way to the exit, Rudy is too liberal to garner the nomination,(although their allies in the media keep pushing him) and that most Protestants and Catholics don’t want a Mormon president. That leaves Fred Thompson, who is now first or second in most national polls.

Good!! The RATS are afraid of him. Considering he hasn’t even announced yet, they’re jumping the gun, but it’s nice to know that he scares them.

But it was ok for Tommy Daschle’s wife to be a lobbyist WHILE he was in the Senate. Too bad the RNC is too daft to use that against them.
