Clearly, the Rodents are scared of facing Fred Thompson. That’s a good sign.
Primarily because the ignorant voter, the really wishy washy voter that votes for celebrity and that alone, Thompson gets that, because well, he’s law and order guy. People in California didn’t vote for Arnold the first time cause they liked a particular message, they voted for him because he was Arnold.
And there is a habit of electing the occasional celebrity, hell we had one as President, and he was one of the best we had. Now, I think we’ll have an advantage in that, I don’t see the Democrats nominating a governor. So far, only one is running and there is reason to suggest that he won’t be able to ride the hispanic vote to the nomination. On the other hand, we have 3. I honestly believe Giuliani is going to start dropping once New York is scrutinized, because well, Bloomberg is actually the first mayor of New York I know of in a long time to not be repeatedly catching hell at home.
Plus, one thing that most of the country doesn’t know about is Giuliani’s little power grab post 9/11. 9/11 was a tragedy, but Rudy’s reasoning in that was insane, and the minute that is hit on, he’s toast. He’s too authoritarian, and he also had a tendency to take credit for things that were not entirely his doing, I think Rudy drops off by fall time, and one of the third tiers comes in to make it a three way between Thompson, Romney and candidate # 3, who is not McCain or Giuliani.
