I think they got this one backwards. It seems that lobbying was his hobby, and acting the way he paid the bills. Sen. Thompson probably made more money in one season of “Law and Order” than in 20 years of lobbying.
He made half a million as a lobbyist, not the one million I originally thought. That is not only NOT "a fortune" but unless he was being paid farmers wages on Law and Order, we can ALL bet he made moe as an actor than as a lobbiest.
Acting, as his number one source of income, was therefore his career. This article, which states that acting was NOT his career and implies he made millions or hundreds of millions as a lobbiest, is nothing but a
