The poll is bogus; the question is facile.

Edwards? In the Right? When did she become a conservative?

Funny they would phrase a poll about a leftist vs. Ann Coulter that way.

Otherwise, I can only assume that most of the respondants don't understand English well enough to get the sarcasm in Ann's comment.

What number do you press for 'moonbat' anyway?

You do realize that you just admitted that what Coulter did fits the definition of imitating, don’t you? Specifically the second heading.

I can’t believe I’m actually having this conversation.

You’ve offered nothing that disproves my point that Coulter imitated Maher. And your further discourse on the word only demonstrates how it can be used regardless of intent. If imitating mean either mocking or following as a model, clearly it is not dependent upon intent.

Are you trying to argue that the definition of imitate is incorrect, and should be switched to something with which you’re more agreeable?

It was a stupid comment by Coulter. Let it go.

Your implication: that Coulter's mocking of Maher was actually her following Maher as a model.

No, she was mocking Maher.

Seriously dude, as I pointed out, imitate and mock are synonymous.

I fully understand the context.

It was still a very stupid comment, for the reasons I pointed out earlier in this thread.

The point was fine, but the way she chose to make it provided an easy duck. Hence, stupid.

Again: Coulter was mocking Maher and not emulating him.

I’m sure the AOL poll is as fair as the Matthews/Edwards ambush. Even the quote cited is mangled. This is merely the tool, Matthews, trying to infuse money into Edwards’ failing campaign.

Like Edwards is going to be the candidate. What is the agenda? I don’t see this hurting Ann Coulter. She doesn’t have a radio program to censor. Publicity = Money

And the word I used is synonymous with mocking.

Why are you twisted around the axle because I used a word synonymous with the word you use?

This is quite simply the most bizarre conversation I’ve had on this board.

Coulter’s priority is in how many books she sells, i dont think she gives a rats about advancing the conservative cause.

Stupid comment of the day and it shows your level of perception is way below par.

I FREEPED but realize that we are doomed on this one. I am sorry that you aren’t going to get the results that you hope unless every FRiend of ours votes immediately. I had no idea that it would be 220,000 to 45,000. That is great odd to overcome.

I adore Ann Coulter. I just wish that she would zip it sometimes and not stoop to the level of most liberals. She is far to classy to act just like them.

That's just the first four I checked. I'm sure there are others as well. You'll not I even verified it both ways, checking "imitate" in the first two sources, and "mock" in the second two sources.

There is a perception amony many that Coulter is a media personality keen on selling books rather than a activist promoting the conservative cause. If you dont agree with that assesment thats fine, dont be so stupid about it.
