Here we are again my friends, hopefully for the last debate thread on this particular monstrous legislation. Proceedings are supposed to begin at 9:30 a.m. EST, with the cloture vote being taken at 10:30 a.m.

On a personal note, you've all been wonderful in your passion, vigilance, and commitment to the principles on which our country was founded. If I have to be in a foxhole, I want to be in it with you guys.

This is confusing. Sen Stevens said voting for cloture would allow the amendments to be considered, which would continue the debate.

Debate won't continue- Reid will remove the bill from consideration, effectively killing it. There are other bills the Senate needs to consider.

Arlen Dumpster is asking senators to vote for cloture and then vote against the final bill. This was the tactic preferred by Jorge Bush’s gang in the WH.

Every Democrat I personally know is against this bill. Haitian immgrant, left wing feminist -- against amnesty. Christian teachers union member, against amnesty.
