One thing you got wrong, unfortunately Mel Martinez is not up for reelection until 2010. He ran and won his Senate seat in 2004. As regards to the rest of your list, you are correct. I am not an advocate for kicking out Republicans if the seat would fall to a Democrat because I believe any Democrat is worse than a Republican. However, when we can be confident in replacing a Republican with A Republican, teach the damn RINO’s a lesson!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let’s not forget Voinovitch. I don’t absolutely know if it’s true, but sources have said that he first voted “Yes” on cloture today, and then switched his vote to “no” after he saw it was not going to pass. Brownback did the same.

So they didn’t really change their minds and vote “no,” they voted “no” purely to give themselves cover, probably with permission from the leadership.
