My mother overstayed her visa in Saudi back in the early 80's. My dad was working for an oil company at the time and my mother was there for a 3-month stay. Some mess up with her visa resulted in her being there a couple days beyond what she should have been. Bottom line was..."somebody" had to pay for this mess-up...so they put my Dad in a Saudi jail for 48 hours. This is no joke. This really happened.
My bro overstayed his in Guatemala. Then, he couldn’t get an exit visa to go into Mexico and the Mexicans definitely wouldn’t let him in. It was “go back or go to Mexican jail.”
What a mess.
