That's the question Bobby Schindler asked in the case involving Jesse Ramirez, the Arizona man whose case paralleled that of Schindler's sister, Terri Schiavo, until Ramirez woke up. The Arizona Republic reports:
...Bobby Schindler of the Florida-based Terri Schindler Shiavo Foundation placed the blame on a medical establishment quick to dismiss patients with brain injuries. Why is Jesse alive? His family sought legal intervention with the help of the Alliance Defense Fund:
Schindler is the brother of Terri Schiavo, a brain-damaged Florida woman who died in 2005 after a decades-long court battle.
"What is the rush?" he asked. "This is not the first time we've heard of cases like this where doctors want to write off the chance of recovery, and the family, when they're told this, will make a decision to end a person's life.
"In the case of Mr. Ramirez, he'd be dead now."
His siblings and parents refused to give him up for dead, and today, Jesse Ramirez is alive and conscious.
Two weeks ago, he was the center of a family battling over of whether he should live or die.
Now, he can hug and kiss, nod his head, answer yes and no questions, give a thumbs-up sign and sit in a chair.

The deal is that mel martinez is a traitor. We need a real person in the Senate. I agree that Bobby is getting Terri’s story out. So is Suzanne. Nothing could corrupt either of them. Floridians have the utmost worst people in office. Hopefully, this will change next election.
You are exactly right. He acted without legal authority and that, at least in a moral sense, is murder.
I noticed you put “Medical Facts” in quotation marks. Is that because of the fact that the visitors make up what they call “Medical Facts” as they go along? I haven’t seen one yet who can justify their position (or even make excuses for it) based on the Medical Facts (no quotation marks necessary in this case).
What must it be like to have such advanced knowledge in one limited field, but still be unable to comprehend the simple aspects of that field, or the simple facts of life? Pity.
Yes, and yes, but find a politician to do it. Here's one you might try to lure back into politics. Dan Quiggle and his wife were guests of a Freeper at the House Managers tribute dinner. I sat at the same table :-) Said Freeper and I went down to Jacksonville later to help him in a GOP primary race. We didn't help much -- he got thumped :-) But it was his first race and he was very young, little known. Even now, he's only about 36 or 37 years old.
The same people who said nothing and Terri was MURDERED are robbing taxpayers and also getting an extra penny sales tax for "projects".
CRIMINALS ALL!
Medical conditions often have several causes. You don't have to make up facts. You just select the facts or explanations that fit your bias and pretend there is no other answer. It can sound very slick and professional, but nevertheless, it's deception.
We heard a lot of that not so long ago :-) That's probably the reason for putting "Medical Facts" in quotes.
Racketeering Originally, an organized conspiracy to commit extortion. Today, punishable offenses created by Congress to "seek the eradication of organized crime by establishing new penal prohibitions and by providing enhanced sanctions and new remedies to deal with the unlawful activities of those engaged in organized crime." Pub. L. 91-452, §1, 84 Stat. 922 (1970). The federal statute is entitled "racketeer influenced and corrupt organizations act [rico]" under Title IX of the Organized Crime Control Act of 1970 (18 U.S.C. §§1961-68) and many states have adopted similar statutes, e.g., N.J.S.A. 2C:41-1.1 et seq.
There are four punishable racketeering offenses under the federal statute: (1) directly or indirectly investing income derived from a pattern of racketeering activity or through collection of an unlawful debt in any enterprise affecting trade or commerce; (2) acquiring or maintaining any interest in an enterprise through a pattern of racketeering activity or collection of an unlawful debt; (3) conducting or participating in the affairs of the enterprise through a pattern of racketeering activity or collection of an unlawful debt; or (4) conspiring to violate the racketeering provisions. 18 U.S.C. §1962. See also, N.J.S.A. 2C:41-2a to 2C:41-2d. "Pattern of racketeering activity" requires engaging in at least two incidents of racketeering conduct (specified offenses ranging from murder, kidnapping, criminal usury, and theft to forgery, alteration of motor vehicle identification numbers, and possession or use of firearms or explosives) within 10 years of each other, and where at least one of the incidents occurs after the effective date of the act. Some states also require that there be a showing that the incidents of racketeering are interrelated in some way. The term "enterprise" in the federal act includes any individual, partnership, corporation, or any union or group of individuals associated in fact though not a legal entity, and some states have expanded the meaning to include sole proprietorships, business or charitable trusts, governmental entities, and illicit as well as licit entities. A criminal forfeiture provision is included in the act that allows for forfeiture of "any interest in money or property acquired in violation of the act." 18 U.S.C. §1963. Some state racketeering statutes have civil forfeiture provisions as well. N.J.S.A. 2C:41-4. Finally, the provisions of the acts are directed to be liberally construed to best effect the overall purpose. The acts are felt to be a powerful tool in assisting prosecutors in apprehending and convicting those persons involved in organized crime and are preferred to viable alternatives under traditional conspiracy or professional criminal or habitual offender statutes. See 571 F. 2d 880.
Jim Smith said that he was "a bottom feeder and bought foreclosures." Why was that not a huge conflict of interest? He's done this before but this time, he got caught.
Now let's see if the Fl AG or the CFO blinks an eye.
Also note that forfeiture clause. That means if you steal money... or rather, if the politicians say you have stolen money according to the way they interpret this act, they, the politicians, get to steal your ill-gotten gains for ourselves (the state). You forfeit the stolen money. They keep it. You'd think they would give it back to the people it was stolen from, but no.
What we are supposed to understand from the death advocates is that aborted fetuses just sort of go away and a problem is solved. The horror is hidden.

NAYAGARH, India, July 24, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The BBC reports that police have found 30 bags full of baby body parts outside an abortion facility in the eastern Indian state of Orissa. Local forensic experts suggest the remains are the product of illegal sex-selective abortions.
The owners of the abortion facility have been taken into custody. Police have said there is no way of knowing how many bodies were found in the bags recovered from a waste dump near the town of Nayagarh.
Abortion, sonograms and the traditional cultural preference for boys have combined to cause a lopsided sex demographic in India that has left the country facing a massive demographic crisis.
With the population shifting towards the abortion-generated gender imbalance of 927 females born for every 1,000 males, the country is beginning to experience the social ills associated with sex-selective abortion.
Trafficking of women in India has become common in the Northern region of Haryana, where there are about 861 women for every 1,000 men due to sex-selection. Trafficking in women is a problem also experienced in China where a similar gender imbalance was created by the communist one-child policy.

LONDON, England, July 24, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A recent British study shows that children conceived by IVF have increased health problems and spend almost double the time in hospital than naturally conceived children, the Daily Mail reports.
The 7-year follow-up study, done in conjunction with Finnish studies, compared the hospital costs of IVF-conceived children to naturally conceived children. It examined 303 IVF-conceived children as well as 567 naturally-conceived children, all of whom were born between the years 1990 and 1995. Prior studies had reviewed the pregnancies of these children, their medical history and neo-natal health as well as the case notes of their hospitalization.
Published in the June 21, 2007 issue of Human Reproduction, the study showed that on average, a child conceived through IVF was in hospital significantly more times (1.76 vs. 1.07 times) than a naturally conceived child.

They get angry if we expose the horror. They get angry if we say that it is the same murderous immorality of other death camps. But it is. The killers believe that people have no right to life. The killers believe it's fine to rip babies from wombs or to machine-gun people who are politically incorrect.
That was perhaps the most arresting detail in Aldous Huxley's chilling novel, Brave New World. Babies were fertilized in vitro and gestated in artificial wombs. They weren't born, they were decanted -- poured out of their jar. This was published in 1932! Here's a passage:
" ...From the Social Predestination Room the escalators went rumbling down into the basement, and there, in the crimson darkness, stewing warm on their cushion of peritoneum and gorged with blood-surrogate and hormones, the foetuses grew and grew or, poisoned, languished into a stunted Epsilonhood. With a faint hum and rattle the moving racks crawled imperceptibly through the weeks and the recapitulated aeons to where, in the Decanting Room, the newly-unbottled babes uttered their first yell of horror and amazement."
It costs a lot of money and takes a lot of bureaucrats to see to it that a little girl is beaten into a coma and chopped up for her organs, proceeds payable to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Haleigh, God love her, survived her step-mother's torture and the DSS lawsuit to murder her. But how is she doing? She was a girl of 11 when she was beaten so badly, but she must be 13 now and turning into a young woman.
This new director, Mr. McClain, could prove he's not just one more reactionary bureaucrat if he would let Haleigh's mother and grandmother visit her. That's the best therapy Haleigh could get -- family.
Bobby is indeed a rising star, fulfilling a role yet to unfold. I cannot help but look at the news reports and smile just a bit at what this one man is doing. And then I consider his family as well, touched by Grace.
I do remind of T'wit's cavaet. We have seen from the inside, he and I, the travels of good into the swamps of politics and we have seen them capped in their advancement simply because they are good, and not corrupted. If there is any spot in this world where one literally sells a piece of one's soul for a bit of success, this is it. Resist this temptation, and find the doors slammed in your face, the ceiling low. Sometimes it is not even this obvious, the doors simply closed or elusive, but the open doors are scarce. Some wade through all this and still emerge on top, uncorrupted. They are just a few.
I have witnessed decent people, good Christians with Bibles at their side progress and hit that ceiling and locked doors, and sell just a tiny bit to get a step further. Their tiniest weaknesses are exploited and the change is like out of a horror movie. But if one places his faith in Our Lord's hands like a child, he can be safe.

Yes!
Amen, this is true.
That is because a poster tried to insulate himself from every other aspect of what happened to Terri. That is what he did. When at any time that that method appeared to start to fizzle, he pinged his anti-Terri lawyerly people in for help. All the while claiming he was neutral in the case mind you.
I noticed T'wit said it very well. The Medical Facts alibi was a "deception".
Good point. The poster claimed incessantly that he was only interested in correcting medical misinformation. You wonder why he had to say so over and over and over if that was what he was doing. At least it gave him an excuse for pretending not to look at any of the vivid and revealing human or criminal factors involved. But he couldn't hide. He used only deathbot sources, and always sided with the other deathbots, and used ad hominem attacks against every doctor, nurse, medical expert or pathologist who disagreed with him. (There are a lot.)
"There is none so blind as he who will not see."
