Fred Thompson’s record may appear to be “conservative,” but only by comparison with Rudy Giuliani, John McCain, or Mitt Romney, and a Less-of-a-Big Government Republican is still a Big Government Republican.

Most people do not claim that Fred is some kind of conservative hero.

But unlike Rudy McRomney, he's a candidate most every conservative can vote for without selling out their principles.

I'm probably voting Duncan Hunter in the primary, but I'll be content to vote Thompson in the general.
