TOKYO Powerful typhoon Man-yi made landfall on Japan's southern main island of Kyushu on Saturday afternoon while injuring at least 44 people, forcing thousands of people to evacuate and leading to power cuts and cancellation of airline and railroad services.
This season's fourth typhoon is expected to continue to lash the Japanese archipelago, traveling along the southern coast of Honshu, the biggest of Japan's four main islands, through the Kanto region over the long weekend, the Japan Meteorological Agency said while warning of heavy rains, floods and strong winds.
