The church is the body of Christ, not (big "c") Catholicism.

Why I am not a Catholic. Let go of the legalism and follow the Holy Spirit. There is a reason why freedom happened in America and not Italy.

It always amazes me that these wanna be churches say Scripture alone, faith alone, yada yada yada, but every time they disagree with a pastors interpretation they just go open a new religion.

If Peter was not the leader of Christ’s church, why did none of the apostle’s mention a problem with the seat of Rome?

I know you think someone in the 1500’s had more insight into Christ’s intention than someone in the first century but we all don’t agree with that. Matter of fact you are wrong - period.

Thanks for the link!

There is a very good reason for the fact that Catholics do not defend the doctrine of Scripture alone: the Bible does not offer solid evidence for Catholicism.

Okay ... I might go along with that IF you can show me which biblical passage teaches that Scripture is the formal authority or rule of faith in isolation from the Church and Tradition.

The church is the body of Christ, not (big "c") Catholicism.

And the Bible calls Christ's Church "the pillar and foundation of truth."

So how can there be thousands of "pillars of truth" espousing contradictory doctrines? As far as I know, there isn't a single doctrine that all non-Catholic Christians agree on, including sola scriptura, except that they all reject the papacy.

Matthew 28:18-20

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.

The Great Commission includes baptism and instruction in the faith which was handed on to the Apostles.
