Al Gore and Hypocrisy: Like Salmon & Carrots!
Blogs for Bush ^ | JUly 18, 2008 | Leo Pusateri

Algore, Mr. Eco-Friendly himself; the Grand Poo-bah of the Church of Global Warming, has racked himself up yet another "Do as I say," moment. At a recent wedding celebration for his daughter, among other things, the Gore family feasted on Chilean sea bass.

So, big deal, right?

Yes it is, actually; given that Chilean sea bass is one of the most endangered of sea species, and as much as 50 percent of the species currently on the market is illegally caught.

Also known as Patagonian toothfish, the species is under pressure from illegal, unregulated and unreported fishing activities in the Southern Ocean, jeopardising the sustainability of remaining stocks.

The species is currently managed by the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Living Marine Resources, the body which introduced a catch and trade documentation scheme as an attempt to tackle illegal poaching of this species.

Working with non-government organisations, the Humane Society International's focus is now on pursuit of illegal fishing operators who, in the rush to cash in on the highly valued species, plunder stocks with no regard for sustainability.

It has been estimated that more than 50 per cent of toothfish traded is illegally caught, and includes juveniles vital to the ongoing toothfish population.

Yeah, I know. Restrictions are for the "little people."

He bought Chilean sea bass credits — from his own company.

of course, this is of no surprise. like algore flying on jets, living in 20,000 sq ft home. Like Barbara Streisand using 20,000 gallons of water a month and telling us to conserve. all these earth hippies make me sick.

as an aside, I heard this song driving this morning during my 45 minute commute in my SUV -all by myself- smoking a cigarette....LOL!

“...there’s a new mother nature taking over, it’s gettin’ us all....”

sure wish i knew who sang that. it was kinda catchy. a wee bit before my time I think. does anyone know?

Chilean sea bass, which became a popular fish dish in the U.S. in the 1990s, is being loved to death by overfishing, experts say. A grocery chain with stores on both sides of the Atlantic recently started selling sustainably fished Chilean sea bass, but conservationists worry that this may send the wrong message to consumers. Al proves that the apple (try saying that last word with two fingers in your mouth and you’ll be much closer to the word I wanted to use but couldn’t) doesn’t fall too far from the tree.

Americans have memories shorter than Bill Clinton’s (fill in your favorite male body part here) so a little review of history is in order — not that anyone will remember any of this when Al launches his dark horse shot at the White House.

Al’s old man was a bud to Armand Hammer who was the ONLY American (and I use that title very loosely here) allowed to fly his private jet into and out of the USSR under Stalin and his successors without either US or USSR diplomatic clearance. Hammer cranked up and ran many businesses for old Uncle Joe, starting with a pencil factory as they had to keep records of those 60 million kulaks Uncle Joe starved to death.

Old Armand gave Al, Sr. TONS of campaign dough and Al, Sr. carried Armand’s water on Capitol Hill for years. Hammer even bragged that he had Gore, Sr.”.. in his pocket.” (GOOGLE “ARMAND HAMMER AL GORE, SR.” FOR THE FULL STORY)

And here’s a REAL piece of irony: While Hammer owned around a 1% stake in Occidental Petroleum, he had virtual control. Occidental was responsible for the LOVE CANAL toxic waste mess in New York. Gotta wonder how much of born-again envirowhacko Al, Jr’s current assets flowed from the profits Hammer and Occidental generated from burying those thousands of barrels of sickening toxic sludge at Love Canal.

And, of course, we would be remiss if we failed to mention the half a mil the Gore Corps earned from the strip mining of a large section of their Tennessee homestead.

Gee, could that be why Al is on his current crusade? Guilt? A heartfelt desire to purge the sins of his old man??

NYAAHHHHHHHHHH...!!!!

PS: AND IF YOU STILL THINK THIS GUY IS SMART ENOUGH TO BE PRESIDENT, GO HERE

http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/RANCHO/POLITICS/gallery.html

AND CLICK SOME OF THE AUDIO FILE LINKS. I WATCHED THE ONE ABOUT “WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE…?” LIVE IN JANUARY OF ’93 ON C-SPAN AS IT HAPPENED AND FELL OUT OF MY SEAT LAUGHING AT THIS CLOWN.

You may, too, when I explain how it went down. Gore had just been told who “these people” were by the Monticello guide then walked around the short partition wall on which the portraits hung to the paintings on the other side – THEN WALKED BACK AROUND TO THE FIRST PORTRAITS and asked the guide – FOR A SECOND TIME – “WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?”

And there was a follow-up gaff a few minutes later when asked by one of the school kids bussed in from DC for the front porch photo-op what he and Clinton hoped to accomplish for the country, Gore replied that they wanted to make it “…more better…”

And this guy wants to be president??

God save us!!

The bass was to substitute for spotted owl wings that weren’t available on the black market that day.

I think this might be some kind of “endangered species” offset program AlGore invented. When us peasants eat enough smoked carp and deep fried minced fish sticks, then AlGore and his family and friends can enjoy feasting on Chilean Sea Bass without guilt.

He’s a bigger hypocrite for holding Senate hearings to burn the record albums of artists like Madonna and the Red Hot Chili Poopers and then having them prance onstage for his Global Warming Scare concert. Where was the public apology for that?

I guess the bands like The Who and the Arctic Monkeys that turned him down can expect future political investigations.

Al Gore should be able to do what he wants. He’s not some mechanic or fire fighter or doctor. He has important work to do. He gives speeches!
