“The only thing I am still with Bush on is Iraq, and there even, great mistakes have been made in the PC rules of engagement.”

He didn’t get it right on the war either. Tenent and the CIA acted upon false foreign intelligence that was never verified. This was admitted on national TV by Colin Powell on the Tim Russert show.

Bush has failed this country on so many major issues. He did get it right about tax cuts but what about federal spending?

IMHO - That is the bone he threw to the DINO's.

The US and the UN had plenty of reasons to remove Saddam from power just based on Saddam's actions during the 'No-Fly Zone' Clinton years. Saddam violated UN resolutions and invaded Kurdish cities.

For Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton to continue (RINO/DINOism), GWB could not be seen as victorious within Iraq. Even though he succeeded in removing Saddam and henchmen from the country. Which was the original plan.

Thus, the WMD not found story was concocted. The presence of WMD were never the main reason for removing Saddam.

I think he did get it pretty right on the war. The Dems and the MSM have spewed the mantra of "Bush lied", No weapons of mass destruction, unverified intelligence and fake intelligence so much that people tend to forget many of the truths about this war.

First, there were weapons of mass destructioin--not nuclear, but biological andchemical--they were only working toward nuclear..It has begun to come out about the weapons being transferred. The Clinton Admin. had the same intel and reached the same conclusions.

Superceding the WMD was regime change--also desired by Clinton. After all, Hussein had broken his promises made to stop the Gulf War and had ignored 17 sanctiions by the UN. He was also wheeling and dealing in oil, finding ways to get around the Oil for Food program.

Since the regime change, however, our military has been strapped by PC Rules of Engagement, and the MSM and Dems are working overtime to turn Iraq into another Vietnam, which it definitely is not.
