“everything looks bad for the GOP except for one thing-—Hillary. Most polls show that roughly half of the US would not even consider voting for her thighness.

other than that, the GOP looks like it will lose more seats in Congress, and the conservative agenda is going to be derailed for a long time, perhaps on everything except immigration, which is perhaps the only strong point the GOP has, if it didn’t go out of the way to sabotage it.”

I can’t fully agree with you there. Superficially, it would appear true, but the Dems are now unpopular even to the Dems in Congress. They’re a marvel of inefficiency and ineffectiveness. The higher their disapproval ratings climb to, the less likely the GOP will be to lose more seats. In fact, I remember reading a pundit suggesting that the GOP might make a comeback in 2008, thanks to Democratic fumbling of immigration, etc. There’s no telling what sort of Democratic idiocy will take place between now and 2008, too. Try to have a little bit of faith, my friend!

“Hillary will win New York, California, Michigan, Minnesota, Washington, Hawaii, and most if not all of New England.

That sounds like a pretty good start toward a victory for Hillary to me.”

I notice you didn’t mention any state in the South. Winning the South is also a great start for the GOP nominee. Also, winning Michigan isn’t a given. It was a tight contest in 2004 and 2000.

Unfortunately true. Illinois is almost guaranteed blue, and Ohio is also turning leftwing. If Ohio goes dem, it's all over for the rest of the country.
