“I didn’t catch this. Hopefully Bill did an equal segment on the kind of comments that show up at DU an KOS. Right?”

I watched....Kos was mentioned. Not one comment was made regarding DU. A rep from Kos was there, and Kristinn did a great job for Free Republic....when BOR let him talk.

I have mixed feelings about the appearance. BOR used Kristinn as a prop, and did not let him speak, not that there was much more he could say being caught flat footed with charges that were impossible to refute with no advance warning. Odd, BOR lacked any specific quotes for KOS or DU but had them for FR. He was patently duped into equating FR to “all the other hate sites”. We have to know that we won’t get a fair shake. Think catacombs. Sometimes cover is needed, like the early Christians. Your freedom of expression is not free, and must be exercised, but when it is used others will try to silence. FR is provocative and thus the other side wants it shut down, much like Kerry, Lott and others want to take Rush off the air. I have felt unease when FR is even mentioned on the DBM. Some on here seem pleased and flattered but recognition brings unwanted attention and attacks. Recall what the Swiftboaters went through. Recall how BOR was so duped by someone to dismiss them out of hand as discredited, liars, politically motivated, ultra right wing nut jobs etc. John O’Neill would just laugh and chuckle about being a Democrat. But he was a warrior of the courtroom and know how to take it, even on one kidney. FR is corrosive to liberalism. Let’s keep it that way.

Let us keep an eye on posts and hit the abuse button. Err on the side of keeping FR’s integrity intact. (Not that we owe anything to pinhead, moron BOR).

...when BOR let him talk.

BOR wasn't in the mood to let anybody talk but himself and the Rev. Al.

He was talking over the CT lawyer trying to explain the situation in CT with the parole board letting the ne'er-do-wells out of prison to commit murder and mayhem.

Explain, not justify, and BOR still wouldn't let him point out that there may be other [Mike Dukakis-like] decisions that haven't seen the light of day.

“A rep from Kos was there . . .”

Maybe some other time, but nobody from Kos was there when Kristinn was.

The guy on BOR at the same time as Kristinn was former Congressman Harold Ford, Jr. (D-TN), now also chairman of the Democratic Leadership Conference (DLC). Kos kids dislike the DLC the way most FReepers dislike RINOs.
