Exactly right. And we each use our own preconceptions to decide which one is correct. Sorry, but a guy who admittedly beats a guy with a pool cue, and then shoots a gun through a closed door, behind which his supposedly precious daughter is standing, has lost the “he said she said” game. JMO.

Well winning the "she said he said" game is more about one's credibility than one's recklessness or propensity towards violence.

The daughter is demonstrably a very deceptive individual - I'm not sure if her testimony can automatically be considered more reliable than the father's.

Not entirely considering the daughter appears to be proven to have lied in the article itself. Also the fact that dear old dad is a solid citizen of his community is mentioned.
