Overpoupulation is junk science from the 70’s. If you assume an average family size of 4 people, you could give every family in the world 1 acre to live on and only use up 2/3 or the land of the USA.
You could fit them all in Texas, I believe.

I don’t think that is true any more.
Two billion acres and the world population is almost 7 billion.
3,537,441 (square miles) = 2,263,962,240 acres
But that’s 7.5 acres for each person in American or 8.2 for each citizen.
