So if you build it and turn it on, you (and everyone near you) gets sucked into a black hole like thing? LOL great idea, hope no one living in Texas ever builds the darn thing.
Or have Superman fly around the earth really fast backwards. That works, too.
Was it EVER 8 hours SOONER??? :-)
See? That's why this will NEVER happen!
and they end up on The Titanic...how cliche.
This topic needs to be kept in sight. It is valid and important.
Can I buy a vowe”L” instead? =)
Dang, if it was a snake, it would have bit me.
It's not a "Flux Capacitor". That's an Oscillation Overthruster!
Nonsense, Sherman... our Wayback Machine has been around for better than forty years.
Then how come... they don't know about it?
It is Algore's fault... He is keeping the Wayback suppressed.
Golly! Why... does he do that?
I told him his Global Warming Theory... was all hogwash.
That's... why?
Well, that... and I peed all over his shoes.
Umm.. yeah. The key word here being "focused." Hold that thought a sec...
"A number of obstacles remain, however. The gravitational fields required to make such a closed time-like curve would have to be very strong, "on the order of what you might find close to a black hole," Ori told LiveScience."
Uhh... you know how the gravitational field of the moon causes the water on Earth to move in what we call tides? Well, the gravitational field of a black hole is so incredibly strong that it's tidal forces affect matter at the atomic level.
"Even if time machines were technically feasible, the gravitational fields involved need to be manipulated in very specific, accurate ways, and Ori said his calculations suggest any time machine could be very unstable, meaning "the tiniest deviations might keep one from working..."
OR... might cause it to atomize the entire planet. Whoops.
On second thought, maybe we should work on interstellar travel and colonization first. You know, just in case.
I heard it’s 24 business hours from now!
LOL!
When Sherman dies... I may adopt you as my next boy.
Mr. Peabody, at True's FR homepage... it says he's never been spayed or neutered.
Well! We'll just... get him fixed pronto!
That was a pretty good movie.
Don't post any replies on FR on Saturday, November 3, 2007. Your second post got you ZOTTED.
Mmmmmm, do-nut, uuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhh
