That’s what I thought too. Looks like he is just seconds from lunging forward.

I live in upstate New York and I’m seeing yellow leaves on the ground already.... :(

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

The leaves are already falling here in South Carolina but it is from the heat and drought, not the cold! I have at least fifty dogwoods and many of them look as though they won’t survive.

al gore is a loser

Is Al near New York or the Eastern seaboard today? We're heading for a New Ice Age, not a Global Warming melt-down.

It is hot and humid(39%) at least for us here in Albuquerque.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I call 39% humidity a drought!

Ditto - the maples are getting some color, and my pear tree is losing leaves fast.
It was 44 here at 6:00 AM

I live in suburban Detroit. I almost turned on our heat yesterday evening. All the rain we had had earlier in the day made it seem even more uncomfortable. Instead we opted for wearing hooded sweatshirts and cozy socks. Today feels much better.

Man, we could use some of that record-breaking cold here in Phoenix.

I'm sorry to hear that. I spent my childhood in Georgia and remember dogwood trees- especially being sent out by my mother to get a branch off of one for a "switching"!

Do you have honeysuckles also?

Oh my goodness- are you further north than I am?

The only joy I can get out of this cold in August is that it makes a total fool out of Al Gore.

Something that’s really kind of funny to me is that when the temperature goes down, global warming advocates get on a plane to where the temperature is warming. But if the temperature starts to cool before they get there, they immediately fly somewhere else! LOL

Uh-oh. It seems you haven't received the memo. It is no longer global warming...the latest fear phrase is climate change. Now, anything that happens is thrown into the one-size-fits-all-purpose-world-is-ending-doom-and-gloom category.

Fewer embarrassing missteps like screaming about a coming ice-age one week and then whining about hellish hottishness the next.

Paging algore! Time to jump on the global cooling bandwagon. Get the crack marketing team out to develop some sort of reverse carbon offset deal and sell those certificates. Just think, new movies to make, new speaking engagements to charge for. I see dollar signs, al!

8/21/07 in Central New York State and this morning we had to put the heat on. I was telling my sister today that I’m still waiting for summer because this is the coldest summer I can ever remember.

I’ve watered the greenhouse three times already today!! Eastern NC is suffering. We live right on the coast and I can’t remember when it rained last. We were way short on rainfall this spring—think we had a total of @ 3” in from Jan to end of Apr. Last year, it was too much rain. We had three or four weekends when it rained 8-10” in a couple of hours!

We got down to 49 on Saturday night I think it was.

I'd love the overnight low to hit even 79....I need to shut off the constantly running A/C and get some fresh air in here.
