No, the law is best used to protect those that are incapable of defending themselves, but deserve protection from those who would abuse them.

Is a cow capable of defending itself? Hundreds of Millions of cows are killed every year. They are denied life. What could be more abusive than that?

Slaughterhouses are governed by laws to make sure they are clean and HUMANE.
TORTURE is NOT ALLOWED.

Goodness, what in the hell is wrong with people on this thread who think this behavior is fine!

Don’t you understand that torturing animals is a sign of mental illness and sociopathic behavior?
Let this activity go on because dogs are private property, and YOU will be the next killed and tortured when these blood thirsty demons are no longer thrilled by animal torture and want to move on to something more exciting.......like people.

BTW, what kind of people do you think are involved in this so called “Sport?” Mostly thugs.
That should tell you all you need to know about what mindset enjoys dogfighting.

Learn how to act in a society.

Killing the cow by cutting up the cow while it is still alive.

That is what dogfighting essentially is: Killing at least one dog by cutting up the dog while it is still alive.

Killing an animal humanely is considered acceptable in our society.

Torturing an animal to death is not.

Point me in the direction of an instance where cows are placed in a pit to fight each other to the death, and I'll gladly discuss it with you.

We aren't talking about food, we are talking about senseless torture.
