The Galveston Flood of 1900. Surely this was caused by Global Warming.

I wish Laurie had added a PS whether she was still with the fellow she traded her old husband in for.

Heppner, Oregon, washed away by Global Warming in 1903

Clearly there was significant Global Warming in the 1900s.

LAURIE DAVID: "Scientists are certain that these deadly events will only become more common..."

Oh God No! The wind, rain, and clouds are all going to become more "commoner!"

Now, if the I-35W bridge over the Mississippi had collapsed during a surge down the Mississippi, from a flood caused by torrential rains, do you suppose the industrious ants of Capitol Hill would be calling for a gasoline tax increase? Of course not, they would be calling for a Carbon Tax to apply to ALL forms of energy.

As a result of global warming, doncha know.

A matter of physics and chemistry: Carbon dioxide could increase to several magnitudes of its present concentration in the atmosphere, and have absolutely no detectable influence on earth’s average temperature. Water vapor ALONE has many times the effect as a greenhouse gas, than CO2 ever could.

Just because there is so much of it, and the variation of its concentration in the atmosphere changes literally from minute to minute.

Hey Laurie! Don’t let facts hit you in the ass!

7 of the 11 hottest years in the USA all occurred before 1955.

Unfortunately, more people are jumping on the BS line, with new shows on the Discovery and “Science” Channel, in addition to the “Global Warming” Weather Channel.

She needs to get into her Gulfstream and fly around spreading the message. Maybe bring Sheryl Crow with her.

Oh, the empty lives of the ‘elite’, when they have everything life can afford them, they are still empty inside and the need to be recognized as relevant.

In Bangladesh at least 678 are dead and over 50,000 are suffering from flood-related diseases -- millions more now find themselves homeless.

Laurie, don't forget the thousands who died in Paris in 2003. Oh, wait! Does it count if socialists die in extreme weather conditions?

I’m reading up on the Antarctic in anticipation of a vacation trip to that continent.

Antarctic Science, editied by D.H.W. Walton, Cambridge University Press, 1987

Page 220

(I haven’t had to do footnotes in years, so pardon me.)

“Ice cores from the Antarctic ice cap can provide baseline information on CO2 levels for before the industrial revolution and insights into the consequences of CO2 changes contained in the geological record. The latter reveals a very interesting paradox. The mean level, and total change in CO2 over the past 100 years, is not significantly different from that which pertained during the 5000 years of warming marking the end of the last ice age 20,000 years ago. This appeared to have been accompanied by a mean temperature increase of about 7 degrees C, but no such increase has occurred in the past century. It is unclear how this paradox can be resolved...:
