“The truth will make you free” Yes, there is the rub. Who knows for sure what is the truth. I understand homosexuality to be a handicap. Clearly the human body was not designed to be joined male to male or female to female. Therefore those who have that preference are handicapped - just as those who have lost some other normal function. The lose or absence of a normal function is not something to be degraded or ridiculed but it is also not something to be celebrated. Therefore I view homosexuality as something to be understood with compassion but not to be celebrated as anything other than an anomaly which is unfortunate.

I think of it from a purely evolutionary point of view. Male-female sex is necessary for the natural propagation of the species in higher animals. Exclusive MM and FF "sex" does not propagate the species, therefore it is not beneficial for our species, not what it needs to continue, and not a preferred trait. I believe it does pop up occasionally in the wild too, but I consider that to be a freak accident just like any mutation.
