Exactly. No man I think, will measure up to her fantasy. Because he doesn't exist. To me the story is good illustration of the rule that some people are better off not getting married a second time. If you don't have the maturity, the commitment, and the strength to give yourself to another human being and spend the rest of your life with them, then a relationship isn't something you should be in. Some people never learn that lesson and they go from one relationship to another searching for the ideal love of their life, only to find themselves repeatedly disappointed in the quest.

Lack of respect, lust, jealously, disappointment with one's self, selfishness.

S*x has always sold but I believe that we have crossed a threshold into "normal" or polite society.
I will be the first to admit that I really enjoy the ladies, alot. And the ladies, they're putting it out there, big time.
It's different from when I was younger and it's not because as women age they become, how you say, "more free"?, they start young and go downhill quickly.
There are women that are not taken to it but are still affected by the trend.

I've scene it close up, they ask, "where are the men chasing me, buying me things, taking me places..." ? And why not? it's in the magazine, the paper, the movies, the tv, the workplace, the neighborhood. Women in their 30's are suddenly critical about wasting their lives not being where they want to be but it is selfishness. The don't want a family, they don't want children they only want for themselves and they want what (they think) others have...

and I am not any better.

Back as a teenager my wife tells me she had a bumper sticker that said “What if Prince Charming Never Comes?”.

I’m sure it was just supposed to be in fun - but I thought that it was very true. Nobody (man or woman) can fully meet our expectations as a spouse - especially the fantasies that you have as a teenager. So, not that you need to “settle” for second-best, but just to realize that their is NO Prince (or princess) Charming that will make everything magically perfect.
