Who will appoint his replacement? Or will there be a special election?
The Governor — Butch Otter (R). There will be a special election to fill the remainder of the term at the time of the next regularly scheduled statewide election — Nov. 2008 at the latest...I don’t see how it could be any earlier than that...)
