No, actually Southwest is entitled to refuse service to whoever they want for whatever reason other than discrimination based on race, creed, etc. The Southwest employee was almost certainly acting in response to a complaint or complaints. Even if he was acting on his own initiative, I think the young woman, aka skank, deserved it. It’s about time someone started drawing some lines, because I’m probably not the only one who is getting tired of these jerks who push the limits (asking the woman to cover her crotch isn’t the same as forcing her to wear a burka, btw). I shouldn’t have to explain this to you, but this isn’t just about one person’s “rights.” It’s about having respect for fellow citizens in the public arena. How she dresses at home is a different manner, but when she’s in public, she needs to dress appropriately. I hope you realize an airplane isn’t a Hooters restaurant! And the mom? Unbelievable!

Absolutely.

The problem, though, is that Southwest has opened them up by not having published guidelines. What if this woman was catching an international flight with several connections and a $2500 ticket price? Sure, she might've showed bad judgement by what she was wearing but, technically, what ordanance was she violating? It is perfectly legal for her to walk around town dressed that way and she arrives at the airport and Southwest tells her she can't fly? Sorry, but unless they have guidelines about proper attire written somewhere, they'd better open up their checkbook.
