I keep thinking how horrifying it must be for a soldier to realize that these idiots are holding the purse strings, and supposedly charting the nation's course.

The Senators READ their “questions” (actually speeches), then get up and go outside for a while. The witnesses have to sit there for hours and respond to any and all accusations. Anyone who can do this all day is amazing. Having morning and afternoon sessions is really lousy....probably not allowed in Gitmo.
