Last Friday a light, oily substance was sprayed on 50 to 60 feet of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall panels and paving stones in an act of apparent vandalism. All this week, Washington was consumed with the Iraq reports by Gen. David Petraeus and Amb. Ryan Crocker. This weekend, ANSWER and a number of other anti-war groups are planning big demonstrations in Washington. Some veterans groups are planning to parallel the demostrations with lines of volunteers blocking access to the Vietnam Wall and other memorials they believe may be targeted for defacment. The assumption that Fridays discovery was an act of vandalism connected with the demonstrations seems a logical conclusion.
Bill Line, Communications officer for the National Park Service doesnt think that assumption would be normal.
No it would not be normal... it would be wrong, Line said defensively.

Same substance found on Monica Lewinsky’s dress. Book him, Danno.
disgusted and ashamed here
Yup, that assumption would not be normal because the subhuman piecs of libscum brownshirt filth who make up ANSWER would NEVER do such a thing.
/obviously
And if indicted, he should go before a jury consisting of Vietnam combat veterans.
If they defaced the actual stonework there would be a manhunt and someone would be doing a long federal bid.
But the vandals were thinking: what do loved ones do at the wall?
Take rubbings of their departed warrior's name.
Oiling the memorial down destroys rubbings and deprives those loved ones of that small act of homage.
It is not as physically destructive as taking the claw end of a hammer to the wall, but it is just as spiteful and vicious.
What did Hillary Clinton know, and when did she know it?
I guess the gratuitous vilification of Vietnam vets will never let up until we are all dead and gone. May the perps rot in Hell.
I served with 9 names on that wall and cannot recall when last experiencing this level of fury.
One thing is for sure. The act out crowd who seem not to be capable of controlling their emotions are usually gutless.
Perhaps they should drop by the wall when some Viet Nam vets are present.
Even Code Pink has more guts than them and will show their face to the public.
I served with 3 on that Wall and had 7 High School classmates that have their names listed.
Hope they catch who`s responsible for this vandalizing of the Wall.
Seems like the Park Service should have cameras mounted there.
