Some individuals who have been active in the past at sites like Free Republic.com have been connected to acts like the mailing of anthrax hoax letters. There is some Internet speculation that the deadly, real anthrax attacks shortly after 9-11 might have come from people who share political values with the “freepers” or who might be “freepers.” Unfortunately, the Bush Administration has still not solved the Anthrax Attack case.

sounds libelous & slanderous to me....
time for a lawsuit ?

“Freepers” attack open message boards and blogs with smear campaigns in which they use profanity and obscenities, racist language, character attacks and false accusations.

That's where I stopped - - the authors are liars.

.

I will NEVER FORGET how the post-9/11 Anthrax hit first came against the ‘NATIONAL ENQUIRER’ Magazine. An American Media, Inc publication that had been very perceptive in reporting CLINTON Misbehaviors to the American People, when no one else would.

Next came Anthrax Attacks against the very TV’s News Anchors that had been misreporting the CLINTON Misbehaviors, by omitting them entirely from TV Newscasts.

Anthrax Attacks designed to give these pro-CLINTON TV News Anchors more “credibility” with the American People then they deserved. Especially in a new time of war with our own Freedom now directly at stake right here at home.

The Internet should work like our American Democracy. We should not try to restrict the rights of others to freely express their views. Political harassment, corporate control, censorship and dirty tricks have no place in our national tradition.

Translation from liberal-speak:

"In order to further democracy, shut down the right-wing websites and talk radio. Seize the servers and arrest the hosts.

"Then, give us free air time on the public airwaves."

This is a joke. It started out like a real essay on someone’s pathetically imagined victimhood... then it quickly raised all kinds of troll flags. I’m not buying it.

1. Democracy should work more like the internet.

2. Projection. When you make an accusation, try looking in the mirror first. For example, you claim that FReepers engage in smear campaigns. Three paragraphs later you say FReepers are responsible for anthrax hoax letters. Has there ever been any evidence of this or is it solely the product of your fevered imagination? Then you say there is internet speculation that the actual anthrax attacks may have been by FReepers. If this is not a smear, I don’t know what is. (Just in case you are new to the internet, let me advise you that there is internet speculation about nearly anything you can imagine - alien abduction, telekinesis, Elvis living in Brazil - you name it. The fact that someone somewhere has speculated about something doesn’t give it any basis in fact.)

3. Remedial grammar lessons are in order if you wish to be taken seriously. Try matching subject to verb.

4. Most FReepers I know can’t stand to go to leftwing boards unless they are reading them for their amusement value. We have better things to do than read or post on your boards. It’s painful to have to wade through the poor grammar and spelling (not that we are the grammar police here, but the quality on FR is so much higher). Another problem with the leftwing boards is wading through the venom (ooh, another thing you accuse us of). Yes, we have the occasional poster here who posts inappropriately and says hateful things. But unlike many of the leftwing boards, we police ourselves and such posts are quickly removed. But the absolute worst problem with the leftwing boards is the illogical, irrational ranting, based on hysteria not facts. They are often self-contradictory.

5. What you really want is for the internet to work like the mainstream media and to be controlled by the left. You are frightened by the possibility of someone presenting the other side of an argument without being filtered through the liberal agenda.

Disagreement makes you nervous.

Truth scares you.

Fiji Hill,

I hope you realize in post #69 I was speaking to the authors of the article you posted and not to you!

Thanks for posting.

OK, I admit I do use a profanity every now and then. But its not a habit. While we're on the subject of hateful language, you should see what is said on left-wing forums. There's a broad daylight between the behavior exhibited on Free Republic and over there. The Left needs to go look in the mirror.

"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus

“tactics appear to cross the line into criminal behaviors. Emails with viruses are sent. Websites hacked...Faked emails ...but are really being sent from ...connected to acts like the mailing of anthrax hoax letters... Talk Radio has been victimized by ...10,000 pieces of hate mail...thousands of obscene messages until open posting was closed...infiltrated our message board...to sow conflict. We have received anthrax hoax letters, emailed death threats, etc.”

Love it when you have the other guy tell you what he’s doing. Thanks, DemProComs.

We must be over the target to get this flak.

Far Right Wing Republican cyber terrorists I'm thinking that those words are really out of place and more far left BS. Sending an email doesn't seem like a terrorist act, given that we hear of terrorist acts in Iraq all day long and the big one here on 9/11. These people need to get a lifea and possibly a radio show that someone is listening too, someone other than me, of course.

David Kendall was the attorney for National Enquirer at the time. I always thought their reporting on Pres. Clinton was based on preemption.

Ah, before reading this posting, I’ve never heard of Democratic Talk Radio. And Freepers work for a living, we don’t have the time or inclenation to spend it at lefty websites. And it’s usually the Lefties themselves, who post racist, profanit-laced messages and question people’s patriotism. That’s their normal mode.

Without doubt these guys are projecting. Project: To externalize and attribute (an emotion, for example) to someone or something else.

What is it that upsets the "progressive" dears?

Having to pay $65,000 for the ad in the nytimes? In the old days of a generation ago their ads were free and professionally produced as "news" items on TV network news and most big city newspapers. Well, they still get that. What else could it be?

I think it is having to respond to criticism from the moderate to conservative majority. Not just that moronic ad but all their feeeeeeeeeeeelings.

That simply did not happen in the days of the "Fairness Doctrine" and the silenced majority.

Poor dears. They don't don't know what to do. Screaming insults and lies is their natural reaction when faced with the unknown. -- and of course, project their own character flaws onto others. But hey! without flaws they'd have no character at all.
