Well, in this particular case, BOTH evil and stupid might be more accurate. Scott, however, isn’t really nasty — he’s a rather personable old guy, but he is as dumb as a bag of hair.
Jack’s a “useful idiot” — who has confused his own personal tragedy (his son was killed in rather odd circs. by a “friend” in a shotgun “accident”), and Jack’s been unhinged ever since.
