I suppose it never occurred to this joker that if mammoth dung causes global warming, how come the dung is frozen? This whole 'human-caused' global warming nonsense is circular. The tundra was once warm enough for lots of vegetation to grow and serve as food for hungry mammoths which pooped a lot. But something (?) caused it to get colder and the mammoths froze along with their poop and the vegetation. Now evil humans come along and cause it (?) to get warmer again which puts us in danger of -- decaying vegetation and mammoth poop in the "permafrost."
According to the article, "U.S. government statistics show mankind emits about 7 billion tonnes of carbon a year. Permafrost areas hold 500 billion tonnes of carbon, which can fast turn into greenhouse gases," Zimov said."
On the bright side, that takes some of the "heat" off us humans. What a bunch of dildos these warming alarmists are.

This article might be suitable for your not-a-ping list, but it’s mostly crap.

Sergei Zimov bends down, picks up a handful of treacly mud and holds it up to his nose At least he avoided stepping in it...

Mammoth dung? Reminds me of college days after a night of drinking and white castles.

But Zimov, a scientist who for almost 30 years has studied climate change in Russia's Arctic, believes that as this organic matter becomes exposed to the air it will accelerate global warming faster than even some of the most pessimistic forecasts.
"This will lead to a type of global warming which will be impossible to stop," he said.
This is simply untrue. There have been even warmer periods that the one we are in currently and they were followed by colder spells, not "a type of global warming which will be impossible to stop." The thawing of permafrost does eventually lead to a greater release of CO2, but it's not CO2 that driving global warming. CO2 lags global warming and global cooling results in a decrease, over centuries, of the CO2 released by the previous warming.

Mammoths Revenge! Global Warming Poo visited upon humans.

There were so many Mammoths out there that they went extinct.

Thanks wildbill.
For millennia, layers of animal waste and other organic matter left behind by the creatures that used to roam the Arctic tundra have been sealed inside the frozen permafrost. Now climate change is thawing the permafrost and lifting this prehistoric ooze from suspended animation. But Zimov, a scientist who for almost 30 years has studied climate change in Russia's Arctic, believes that as this organic matter becomes exposed to the air it will accelerate global warming faster than even some of the most pessimistic forecasts.
Strange, isn't it, that the stuff froze in the first place, considering how cold it must not have been? More global warming demagoguery.

If there was mammoth dung up there millions of years ago then the climate must have been warmer up there then. So does that mean we are getting back to normal?
BTW, what is normal?

This guy is missing the opportunity of his lifetime. Does he have any idea what the tree hugging organic farm weenies will pay for "Guaranteed All Natural Prehistoric Vegetable Fertilizer"?
Even a bag of cow crap with a trace of this stuff can be sold as "Contains" Guaranteed All Natural Prehistoric Vegetable Fertilizer.
Rich man walking, and he dosen't even know it.

but it's not CO2 that driving global warming. Incorrect.
