ONLY A TOTAL MORON WHO IS OUT OF TOUCH WITH REALITY WOULD THINK THAT THE ILLEGAL ALIENS NEED TO BE BROUGHT "OUT OF THE SHADOWS." SPITZ MUST NOT GET OUT MUCH! WHAT A JERK!

Sorry for yelling but I'm so tired of these moronic buffoons like Spitzer.

New York Licenses should not be regarded as legal ID by other states!

"He said the current restrictions on non-citizens have filled the roads with unlicensed drivers five times more likely to get into accidents."

What a frickin' MORON. So he thinks taking a driver's test is going to make a grossly reckless law-breaker into a careful responsible driver? No, he's just going to have lots of ILLEGAL invaders with valid NY licenses killing and maiming innocent people on our roads. How about taking vigorous steps to ENFORCE our laws, rather than babbling about bringing the lawbreakers "out of the shadows" by NOT enforcing our laws?

That’s great! Instead of the roads being filled with unlicensed drivers five times more likely to get into accidents, they’ll be filled with licensed drivers five times more likely to get into accidents.

After the illegals get a driver’s license, they’re going to use it to vote. The RATS figure they will vote for them.

Whoa! Expect some heavy traffic in the coming weeks along I-90, I-80, I-70, I-40, I-10.

You guys in the Midwest watch for all the smoking cars by the side of the road with four guys under the hood. The trail of disposable diapers will also be evidence they passed your way.

So giving them a license means they’ll be less apt to get into accidents? I thought I was a dumb blonde.

Spitzer is such POS. New York already had one of the most stringent licensing requirements. This man makes me sick. How do we stop this? Can we move to impeach this schmuck?

Somebody help us.

Gee, Eliot, that’s brilliant.

Guess what, pal? The driver’s license has been the proof of citizenship that allows us Americans to cross the Canadian border freely. As you well know, Michael Chertoff has instituted a plan that will force us to use a passport, potentially choking off the international trade that, in part, keeps areas like Western New York alive. We have been trying mightily to get this overturned.

Your move, more likely than not, just blew any chance we had of that ever happening.

Thanks for nothing, Governor Spitzer.

And a Brooklyn state senator says he'll try to overturn the decision.

And that Brooklyn state senator will need a bit of support... I wonder why they did not give the name? Is the "Golden" in the next line?

Great...Texas is losing millions on the influx of illegals. We will just point them to that great paternalistic bunch running NY. There they can drive and vote and get on welfare. Why would they want to stay in Texas?

Do you need a social security # to get a NY license?

who cares about voting. new york will elect a republican especially for president.

i just cant wait for the inevitable rise in DWI-related deaths when these people can actually drive legally. right now, no license is one of the only things stopping them from driving. but with a real license, watch out for that speeding el camino!

"We're changing our policy with respect to getting more people out of shadows and into the system so people don't hide they're here," Spitzer said.

A general amnesty for bank robbers would be another way to get some folks out of the shadows.

When I heard this story, I was shocked. This does not even seem possible in liberal New York. Recently, SPIT-man wanted homo marriage but it was stopped by the state senate. Hopefully, someone will stop this nonsense.

I wonder if the new AG that bush appointed is in with SPITTY; if so, he will most likely side with spit on this.

A lot of you people call Arnold a RINO but at least he vetoed the same bill the Socialists tried to get passed in this state.

Illegals will be voting in NY in no time. Actually their probably voting now. For a state that saw close to 3,000 murdered on 9/11, its hard to believe how quick they’ve forgotten. The RATS are more dangerous to this country than Al-Qaeda.

No they aren’t kidding. Things are sick and getting sicker here in N.Y. every day. There’s a MT. Kisco N.Y. cop on trial for manslaughter because he gave a homeless, alcoholic, illegal alien, who had been arrested over 60 times, a ride out of town. He was becoming a nuisance by calling 911 repeatedly for no apparent reason. The alien was found a short time later on the side of the road unconscious. He was rushed to a local hospital where he died a short time later. His blood alcohol content was almost 4 times the legal limit for driving in the state. Route 100 in Somers N.Y. now has flashing signs in Spanish telling Spanish speaking people that it’s dangerous to pass on the right. I didn’t know what it said and almost crashed. I guess it’s my fault I speak English.
