I watched this on 20/20 on Friday night. From the medic to the surgeons to the explosive expert, they all saved his life while risking their own. Would anyone (with the exception of the Libs) expect anything less of our soldiers and Marines?
A question: He was interveiwed wearing his uniform. Is he still active duty?
Were his fellow Marines honored for what they did for him in the field?
Were his fellow Marines honored for what they did for him in the field?
Yes, and yes.
Read the story...it's at the end.
He lost too much unless they put him on a light duty.
This is really sad.
My daughter’s beau was in a vehicle in Iraq. An RPG hit the vehicle and penetrated it. Fortunately the RPG did not explode. My daughter’s beau is coming home to be with her on Tuesday. After reading this, I know how really lucky my daughter and her boyfriend are.
If the patient had exploded, would anyone have considered it “OK” to have lost several surgeons, nurses, medics, and others who could have saved hundreds of more lives??
