I’m surprised it didn’t explode. A lot of the newer variations on these things have a time fuse built in so that if they don’t hit something in 10 seconds they blow. I guess it was just luck.
Luck was right...the explosive head broke off without exploding when the RPG hit the humvee. The problem was that what remained still contained the detonator, which still could have killed the soldier and anyone in close proximity.
