Interesting. Kind of like the shift from the word “liberal” to the word “progressive.” Until that word takes on the same connotations as “liberal” has now, of course. Then we’ll need another new one.

Maybe the word takes a negative connontation because the population it labels has negative behavior. The solution is thus not a new word, but new behavior on the part of the population the words label.
