Not only is it unfortunate that Ron Paul has these weak positions on national defense, but also that he chooses to make these positions the focus of his campaign (I mean, his chances of securing the nomination were always nil, and, at best, his candidacy could have served to advertise conservative positions on taxes, spending, pro-life issues, RKBA, limited government, foreign aid, school vouchers, freedom of religious expression, national sovereignty, the United Nations, external public debt, deregulation, free (non-crony) trade...and in effect shame the leftists candidates). Ron Paul is like a beautiful plate of food ruined by a cow patty. And the more his campaign advances, the more things he does and says that are, to put it mildly, disappointing.

Given that he sees fit to all but ignore all issues not related to Iraq and the WOT (including the "civil liberties" of terrorists) in his campaign, I'm loathe to associate myself in any way with Ron Paul. He fails to understand (or, at best, fails to understand the magnitude of the threat) that the federal government is not the only agent capable of denying Americans their lives and liberty.

What a waste.

Mind if I steal this for my new tagline? It really does sum Paul up perfectly, and how I feel about him and his anti-war stand.
