Let’s see: 648 total, less 128 for the wars = 520 left. Even taking out salaries, pensions, routine maintenance, fuel, etc., we’re buying a LOT of new toys. I’d be curious to know which ones.

I suspect a HECK of a lot of replacement material. We’ve been using up hardware fast; tanks, Strykers, Hummers, etc.
But there are several $100+ miilion programs out there and a whole lot of sub $100 million ones...
It adds up fast.
