Didn't find this under search, but the democrats are hopping mad that President Bush has vetoed SCHIP.

Please take a moment to go to the link above and use their tool to email your representative and senators and let them know that you support President Bush, that the SCHIP legislation is fatally flawed (giving tax dollars to 25 year-old "children", including illegal aliens, earning up to $82K), and that you are counting on them to support President Bush's veto.

The talking points provided at the site are laughable, but it's awful nice of them to provide any easy way to let your Congress folks know how you feel on this move towards universal health care...PLEASE WRITE TODAY

The Democrats could have given free health care for these children, if only they had not lumped it into a bill that also gave free health care to 800,000 adults. They did not want to help the children though. They wanted a political issue.

I heard Grassley blabbing on about the advantages in the bill. Chuck’s channeling Paul Wellstone again.

From all I've read a veto override is impossible. Not enough votes in the House or Senate.

This bill is d-e-a-d.

The slippery slope towards socialized health care, and at least THIS time Bush used the correct words.

Pay your own way, America; nobody OWES you anything.

"A liberal is someone who feels a great debt to his fellow man, which debt he proposes to pay off with your money."

The Rats know that it won’t be overridden in the House this congress but are playing to the gimme crowds for votes then if the Hildabeast wins the White House they won’t need an override, it’s a given. Next year the theme will be government subsidized energy and gas in order to garner even more votes. We are entering another cycle of socialist government where work is an option and those who do work pay 40% in taxes.

Here’s what I sent, this is a cool tool. Makes it easy to send...

To Michael Burgess (R), Kay Hutchison (R), John Cornyn (R)

Subject: I SUPPORT the presidential SCHIP Veto
Message: President Bush just vetoed the State Children’s Health Insurance Program’s program that provides health insurance for millions of kids.

It is being reported that According to recent polls, 86 percent of the American people support reauthorizing SCHIP.

This is because the main-stream media is collaborating with the socialists to misrepresent the expansion.

I AM SOMEONE WHO WOULD QUALIFY UNDER THE NEW EXPANSION. I CAN TESTIFY I DO NOT NEED IT! EVEN THOUGH I WORK FOR A VERY SMALL COMPANY NEGOTIABLE RATES FOR COVERAGE ARE AVAILABLE.

PLEASE MAINTAIN THE VETO & LET EVERYONE ELSE KNOW TO SUPPORT THE PRESIDENT IN HIS COURAGE TO TAKE THIS STAND.

The dems should compromise with Bush or stick with what he suggested...A $5 billion dollar increase over 5 years.

I sent the following:
To: Charlie Norwood (R), Saxby Chambliss (R), Johnny Isakson (R)
Subject: Please support the president
Message: Help the president reduce spending. It is a sin to take from one and give to another. Do not allow the expansion of SCHIP.

God bless,

Joe
