These are national numbers. The race is tightening.

Daily tracking history - Thompson and Guiliani numbers have dropped a few points, Romney numbers have risen a few points.

I’m guessing more people are gettting involved not just the political junkies like us. Mitt has gone up on Intrade which is more accurate than the polls. Funny how risking money (capitalism) is more accurate than the media (orwellianisn).

A Rasmussen Reports survey released today shows that 27% of Republican voters say they would opt for a third-party pro-life candidate if Giuliani wins the GOP nomination. While those numbers would almost certainly decline by Election Day 2008, the threat of a third-party run may raise questions about the New Yorker’s electability.

Most interesting...

You may want to see if this lasts for more than a couple of days before you start crowing about it. Rasmussen's daily numbers are based on a four day rolling average. A sudden spike like Romney just received could just as easily be the result of one spurious result as anything else -- if he can maintain the number for a week, then there might be something to it, but personally, I see no good reason why he should suddenly be 3 points higher than his trend line.

In other words, it could be momentum for Romney or it could just be a temporary blip. Either way, it's too soon to say with just a single point of data.
