The only way we will win the election and prevent the Clinton’s from waltzing right back into the White House is if we all get behind whomever the Republican nominee happens to be.

Then, you're stating you'd rather be stuck without a chance at conservative President for eight years and are willing to see the Republicans lose considerably more seats in Congress and become an entrenched minority for, likely, a decade.

I'd much rather see Hillary in the White House and have a very real chance of Republicans regaining a majority in Congress, possibly by 2010 and a conservative President by 2012.

It's a no-brainer. Giuliani does more damage to conservatism than Hillary and would have a much better chance of getting liberal legislation passed.

That's not horrible thinking, but I imagine that's what the Dems were thinking when the Republicans had the White House and the Congress and they gained seats the first time around. Of course, that ended up disintegrating after 6 years; events have a way of throwing odd statistical "certainties".

I completely disagree. I too want a repub/conservative congress but NEVER Hillary in the White House.

I really don’t think Guiliani or any repub candidate, even McCain, could cause the kind of damage to this country that Hillary/Obama/Edwards can. Especially Hillary. I’d rather see the latter two than Hillary in the White House, at all costs.

Hillary is the Clinton Presidency and I think we’re forgetting just what happened to our country during that Admin.

Hillary as Pres will do more damage in 4 years, and she’d only last 4 years, than Carter did during his presidency imo. I’m not willing to chance a Hillary presidency, ever.

So if FT is the great candidate being espoused so rabidly on every thread here, then why are so many here concerned about Rudy being nominated? This just doesn't make sense to me.
