“It hasn’t started yet. And the fallout is going to hit a lot more people than “buyers”, brokers, and lenders who knowingly participated in fraudulent transactions.”

My gut feeling is that it has already ended. Yes, there will be some fallout for individual people who falsified loan documents, but it will not be widespread. And many of those were identified earlier this year, BTW, and are being prosecuted now.

Again, the problem is not as large as many have described and many of the people who would otherwise be in a difficult position are getting help from family and other sources. If you are looking for a lot of mortgage failures, I think you’re going to be disappointed.

The guy committed fraud. He admits to committing fraud.

"Not knowing what you are signing" is not a valid legal excuse either. Hard to imagine that he no idea. He has to review the document before signing it. He could question the weird numbers of $7400 or $5700 and then get out a dictionary.

“Multiple familes pay one property tax but use the sewers and streets and schools.”
What makes you think they’re using the sewers? Has something changed?

You betcha they use the sewers ,, it’s just that they drop the toilet paper on the floor instead of flushing it..

Oh, then I’ll stop seeing our local illegal “just doing the work Americans won’t do” invaders “chitting” in the field behind Home Depot in the morning. Great news!

"Desperately ill from kidney disease and unable to work for the last year, he sits dejectedly at the dining room table, wondering when the bank will kick him out."

Next we'll hear about how he's either getting kidney dialysis or a kidney transplant, again taking a kidney that should be going to an American, and we'll pay for the it all.

Wells Fargo recently seized on the market, joining Citibank as the only nationwide banks offering tax-ID loans. Wells Fargo started its pilot tax-ID loan program in Los Angeles and Orange counties in December.

Chuck Lemoine, a Wells Fargo senior vice president, said providing tax-ID loans is legal and that reaching out “is not only the right thing to do, it's good business.”

Wells Fargo was a big contributor to Tom Tancredo's opponent in his last election. I guess we all know why.

"Two years ago, many were violently attacking me for 'being negative.' Lies, all lies all the time, coming from real estate shills."

Those real estate loan sharks are still lurking on FR, still spreading disinformation & lies, but the difference is you were proven correct, and they refuse to admit it.

Can’t have that. Let’s keep the sheeple in the dark. They’ll be the suckers paying for it in the end with lost jobs and higher taxes. The real villians have already made their fortunes.

Well said oldbill, and good call.

We're being sold a bill of goods, and people don't see it.
