Maybe if teachers were actually taught how to teach instead of being taught how to find patients for the behavioral modification lobby.....
If you look at faculty lists of private schools you will see very few education majors (except maybe for elementary).
Private schools want teachers who know the subject.
Public schools want teachers who know the socialist, feminist, humanist, cr** they shove down the kids throats.
My best friend and my s-i-l recently graduated from a teaching college with a degree in teaching. It did not prepare them to teach, nor were they taught to teach. They told me that you were expected to learn as you go once you get a job.
