I have a neice who is very very picky.

Even at the age of 1, she refused to eat mashed potatoes, vegetables, etc.

She was forced to eat vegetables and fruits. She learned to like some of them.

To this day, if they go out to eat and she isn’t familiar with the restaurant, she worries and frets about what they will have on the menu. She really is afraid of food.

I have a similar experience with my niece -- I don't know if I should be worried about her or not.

On the positive side, she's doing a little better now at accepting new foods. But on she's coming to the age where eating disorders sometimes crop up, and I don't know if I'm seeing some warning signs in her.

She usually does better when away from home.
