"And now coming in at #847 this week, Kraftwerk and their 22-minute hit "Autobahn."
I know nobody actually believes there was no crime. Still, dictators can get away with saying anything. Oddly, it often becomes part of historical record.
Actually they did - hundreds and hundreds of miles in Eastern Europe were built after the war by German war prisoners that were captured by the Soviets.
Check out the rhumba version of “Autobahn” by Senor Coconut sometime.

“Name ONE!”
They named several, whether we agree or not. Did you read the article?
Another 33% didn't give a damn one way or the other.
“Check the 25 Point Plan of the Nazis against the Democrat Party platform. Yikes!”
Look at points 10 to 25 specifically, at:

What is it about the Germans anyhow? German Americans have contributed greatly to our country (USA). Most German Americans are great people.
Almost a Jekyll Hyde situation. In Europe they are, Churchill’s nickname for them, “Huns.” Churchill must have been comparing them to Attila the Hun and his hordes. Yet I see nothing resembling that in the German Americans that I know.
I find it hard to compare the highly regimented, goose stepping, jack booted thugs of WW2 Germany and German Americans.
They misquoted her. She said that there used to be good family values and morals but then the Nazis and later the Hippies worked against those values.
She compared Nazis and Hippies as similar and the Left invented a misquote to attack her with.
As long as they produced good little aryans and future SS stormtroopers.
How about Nina Hagen?
“Anti-communism?”
The primary difference between the Nazis and the commies were (1) the Nazis were “national socialists” - they opposed the Comintern that their “international” Bolshevik cousins set up; (2) Hitlers racism and (3)they used total control of business and industry by single-party political monopoly using national government run economic, labor, industry and commerce plans and controls - for the “greater good”, instead of “collectivizing” everything. In other words, they made private business the indentured servant of the government. In as much as they were Marxists at the core, they differed from Communists in presentation of forms, not in substance.
Sounds more and more like the Dimorats all the time.
It was right there in the question: the autobahn. Such a good system Eisenhower ripped it off and used the idea here. If you’ve ever enjoyed a trip on America’s highway system you’ve got Hitler to thank. They also advanced medical technology a long way, admittedly through abject cruelty but it’s saved many lives later.
The world isn’t a black and white place, sometimes bad people come up with good ideas.
I guess no one would know what a Kempei uniform would look like
Bad guys, both in real life and fiction, frequently have really good aesthetics. Usually because they understand the importance of image in controlling the masses, find me a tin pot dictator who has killed many of his own people I’ll show you a nattily attired army.
“I find it hard to compare the highly regimented, goose stepping, jack booted thugs of WW2 Germany and German Americans.”
Don’t you think the German’s who immigrated here, particulalrly those who came after WWII, WANTED to leave the Nazi past behind them as much as they could, so naturally they and their children and grandchildren here today also would not reflect that society they left in Germany?
Besides, many Americans of German descent were here before WWII.
