"We're featuring peace and harmony," said Mike Feldman, deputy managing director of the airport. "We're using lights. Winters are so dark and dreary." That means no Santa Claus at the airport. No Christmas tree. And no menorahs. Nothing that smacks of a religious Christmas or Hanukkah celebration.

If these people are so much against Christmas, why do they feel the need to decorate at all? Why is "peace and harmony" recognized as a wintertime concept? If you attribute peace and harmoney to winter, what are the attributes of the other seasons, and what decorations are displayed for those?

The "no religious displays" idea is a cop-out. If you don't want to decorate because it's too costly, or takes too much time, don't decorate. But to decorate, and then give some concocted meaning to your effort so you don't "offend anyone" is nothing more than a cop-out.
