I agree. I was just saying to a friend yesterday that if Bush had fought back the way Rush fights back, we'd be looking at an entirely different situation now. He'd have support, his policies would have triumphed, and the Dems would all be trying to claim credit for the Iraq war. But he made the mistake of trying to appease them.

At least W warned us back in 2000 about his horrible "new tone in Washington."

I think GW’s biggest mistake was thinking that the Dems in DC were the Southern gentlemen that he had dealt with in Texas. He was able to work with them to implement some of his policies. After the way the Dems tricked his Dad, you would think he might have been forewarned, but he did not anticipate how much more partisan DC had become after eight years of the Clintons. I still love and support him, but I wish that he had fought back a lot more. I think that basically he just doesn’t like to operate that way.
