IMO last nights winners:

1- Thompson
2- McCain ( yeah I know but he did good )
3- Romney

The press seems intent on not giving Hunter any real time asking him 1 question to everyone else’s 4-5.

Ron Paul anchored his position as village idiot, Tancredo is a one issue candidate ( albeit I agree that one issue is a bog one and does inter-twine with others ), and Huckabee as n Arkansas goober.

McCain had the best lines of the night.

Ron Paul anchored his position as village idiot...

The name "Barney Fife" kept popping into my mind as I watched him last night...

Several of the candidates did really well last night, better than I’ve seen them before [like McCain]. Made good points. Rudy sounded likeable and joked, but he did not answer a direct question.

I prefer to think who helped themselves, and who didn’t help themselves, rather than think who won or didn’t win.

I support Fred and am enthused at how he did, but it was good to hear some good points from some of the other candidates. It seemed that a lot of it was centered around things Fred has been saying on the campaign trail, which was good. He framed the debate.
