Cops Cleared in "Don't Tase Me, Bro" Case [Investigation Slaps Down Squealing 'Rat Martyr]

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has released a 300-page report on the infamous zapping of University of Florida senior Andrew Meyer, whose rowdy actions, catch-phrase and police Tasering during a John Kerry town hall forum made international headlines.

''Don't Tase me, Bro,'' Meyer, 21, squealed after police put the screaming, combative student down on the ground and relaxed him with 50,000 volts from a Taser.

FDLE has determined that University of Florida police did nothing improper in subduing Meyer after he resisted arrest.

A statement from University of Florida President Bernie Machen and links to the FDLE report can be found at www.president.ufl.edu/incident/.

''While I am pleased that the FDLE review is complete, we still have work to do on a separate front. As an academic institution, it is our responsibility to continually review -- and improve-- how we foster an open environment that is also safe for our ever-changing campus community,'' Machen wrote.

The infamous incident, whose footage has been viewed thousands of times on youtube.com, took place on Sept. 17 during a forum hosted by Sen. John Kerry at the university in Gainesville.

During a question and answer period, Meyer, who grew up in Broward, caused a stir while asking Kerry a line of questions ranging from voter fraud to the senator's alleged membership in a secret society.

After Meyer refused to stop his line of questioning, and his microphone was cut off, the student became agitated when police tried to escort him out of the room.

He resisted arrested and was eventually pinned to the ground, where he continued struggling.

At that point, after seeing that a police officer had taken out his Taser, he uttered the words that have become a pop catchphrase: ``Don't Tase me, Bro.''

I bet he is a Paul nut. Maybe some good meds and daily tazering would be good for his mental state. I am glad the cops were cleared, it was obvious he was there to cause a ruckus. I hope they charge him for resisting arrest and assaulting an officer.

A travesty. All of us here are going to regret over-the-top law enforcement, such as this example, if or when someone like Hillary Clinton takes office and Homeland Security (along with the law enforcement-government complex) starts hunting for new missions.

Like tagging those who post to this here "anti-government Web site." ;) Or who ask tough or challenging questions to our political elites at a public gathering.

Those of you here who support law enforcement unconditionally, and don't call out excessive force when the target is someone who doesn't share your view will come to regret it when the same treatment is applied to you.

Watch it, because one day it will.

And yes, I saw the videos. The guy's only offense was asking boorish (and not even tough) questions in an overenthusiastic way. For this his microphone was cut off, then he was grabbed for no reason and was taken down by two fat-assed cops, dragged to the back, and tased repeatedly.

Cheering whenever a lefty loony like this gets tasered might make you yokels feel good, but giving a pass to second-rate security guards for incompetent, excessive conduct only makes it easier for them the next time.

You miss the obvious.

Truly, FReepers recognize and enjoy leftie discomfort, but this does not mean that they do not recognize the fact that leftie politics always end in gulags, concentration camps, and genocide. They do, and always with the cooperation of the police.

Lefties are the first to demand exclusive police protection, exclusive legislative protection, exclusive court protection, and are the first to screw the cops when it's a leftie that gets tripped up.

FReepers have this all figured out, maybe someday the cops will. I invite you to join us.

The ability to laugh at a leftie getting screwed by another leftie does not exclude the awareness that lefties will genocide anyone that disagrees with them, or increase the likelihood that it will occur.

This was the first time I’d seen footage of him being removed.

Why’d it take so many to get him out of there ?

One good whack with the night stick and he would have dropped like the earnings of the Tribune company.

Part of the problem with the Rodney King beating was that there are certain things cops can’t do anymore — either because of stupid ACLU meddling or lib media outcry. If they whacked him with their nightsticks, can you imagine the outcry that would’ve occurred? The tasing, as my remix hyperlink shows, makes it almost comical.

Andrew Meyer, the University of Florida student who was Tasered by campus police in September, may have staged the disturbance in an effort to disrupt a political forum at the Gainesville campus, a state police report concludes.

Gee, ya think?

In related breaking news, fire may be hot and water may be wet.

And all this time I thought the whole problem with the Rodney King video was the cinematography was simply horrible.
